Getting America Healthy

Last year in March i began my journey to loosing weight and getting healthy, after 4 months I had reached my goal weight by loosing 55 lbs. I feel so much better, and have so much more energy. That inspired me to sign up to become a healthcoach and help get others healthy! I have maintained my goal weight for over 5 months since then and still doing great. This is the first time my new years resolution didn't have to be GET HEALTHY.

We have a 6 year old on our hands.... However she acts much much older.... Hailee Brooke turned 6 years old. Happy Birthday Hailee!!

Hailee is our princess. She is a girlie girl so much. She loves babies, barbies, purses, clothes, fingernail polish, and board games. :) She also is so funny!! You just never know what she might say, but she can make you laugh ALOT!! Hailee, we love you so much and you have blessed us. From day one you had Daddy wrapped around your little finger and guess what... you still have him wrapped! Love you sweetie!!

Potty Training....

Bodie has been showing some interest in the potty chair, so we thought we would work on some potty training... Wish I could say this task is completed, but I can't... I have a little boy that will run around and as long as he is naked, he will pee in the potty. However, if you put undies on him or a pull up he will pee in them and not the potty... HMMM.... I can't let him go everywhere naked, so now what, lol! Any suggestions? Austin and Hailee were so easy and did it pretty much by themselves so I am not pushing the issue with Bodie in hopes he will just do it. But if someone has any ideas that would help I could sure use them :)

Jesse is an amazing man, husband, and father. I love that I get to spend everyday with him while we grow old :) He knows how to put a smile on my face when I have a bad day, he knows that when I am crying that I just need to be held, he just knows the right things to do... It's his simple kisses on the forehead everymorning before he leaves for work that just makes my day. I couldn't of been blessed with a better man.

Days 14 & 15 of Thanks

Day 14 of Thanks:

Today I am thankful for these sweet words, "I am Bo Bo!" I love hearing Bodie look at pictures or people in the room and tell us who each person is, and when he gets to himself he says, 'I am Bo Bo." Seriously his voice saying these words is so cute. Talk about melt my heart!!

Day 15 of Thanks:

On this day, I am thankful for my husband who watched the kids while I went to a 31 meeting in Bloomington with other 31 consultants! He is so supportive of all my new things I have taken on. Of course by the time I got home he was ready for a break, but at least he is willing to help out and watch the kiddos while keeping the house straight. I have a terrific husband, and the kids are blessed with a GREAT dad. Love you Jesse!!

Day 13: I am thankful that we have such a great family!! We got to spend time with Jesse's family, and my family today :) We have such wonderful parents and siblings and are thankful that we got to spend time with them.

Day 12: I am thankful for beautiful days with lots of sunshine. The kids enjoyed this beautiful day by skateboarding, riding the gator and the tractor, swinging, sidewalk chalk, and all that fun outdoor stuff!! Thank you for such a beautiful day so we could get out of the house and enjoy ourselves!!

Day 11: I am very thankful to the men/ women past and present that serve our country! Also, I am thankful to their families...

Day 10: I am Thankful to have good health!! A year ago I couldn't say that I was healthy, but today I can!!! I am working hard to keep it that way also :)

Day 9:

Today I got Hailee started on her schooling (Abeka DVD program). She was sitting at the table listening and learning the sounds of letters. Bodie Kale decided that he wanted to sit by her and listen in too. As I am picking up the house, I can hear him repeating the sounds that the teacher is making... Seriously it was so sweet to listen to him try so hard and concentrate. For times like these, I realize I have so much to be thankful for!!

Today and everyday, I am thankful for my children's laughter! Isn't it the best sound to hear your kids laugh and see the smile on their sweet faces... I know to me it's the best sound in the world.

I love being in a different room and hearing them laugh together :) I cherish those moments because in an instant it can change to fighting, haha.

Today we had homeschool group at my house, and I realized how thankful I am to not only have a great homeschool group but for the mom's in my group. Hope everyone enjoyed Halloween!! I know my kids did :) They loved dressing up, and walking in our subdivision to get candy... They were so sweet, saying Trick or Treat, and Thank you!! Especially Bodie Kale our little monkey, after the first house and he figured out what he was doing he was ready. He would get his candy, say Thank You and Bye like 50 times before leaving their houses. :)

I love sweet pictures like the next one. They really do melt my heart at times :) I am so glad they have each other as siblings!

Hailee Brooke Soccer Season

Jesse and I were brave this year and decided that not only would we coach Austin's Division 4 team, but we would also coach Hailee's Division 1 team... Yeah at times I thought I was CRAZY, but really I did enjoy it. I know the kids had fun, and Hailee absolutely loved mommy and daddy being her coach

Here is our team picture at our final game with their trophies!! They were so excited to get a TROPHY!! And yes Coach Jesse is missing because he was on call and at a job site :(

A suprise cookout for..

We have had a super busy weekend.... After all that excitement on Saturday, on Sunday we headed for Odon.... We attended a Suprise cookout for Grandma Maggie Swartzentruber :) It was for her birthday. The kids had so much fun playing with their cousins that they don't see often, and the adults had a good time socializing and catching up. There was lots of yummy food, along with cake and carmel apples. I think everyone had a good time. Happy Birthday Grandma Maggie!

Guess Who is 2

On Saturday October 1st, our little guy turned 2. We cant believe two years ago we were welcoming him into the world.... Where does time go? Our baby is growing up way to fast... Happy Birthday Bodie Kale Swartzentruber! Mommy, Daddy, bubby, and sissy love you so much:)

We had a birthday celebration for him on Saturday, and he had so much fun!!

We had family, and neighbors over for a few hours to join in on the celebration. We rented a bouncy castle (which was a big hit). Bodie loved it and wore himself out... He slept really good that night :)

Apple Works

On Friday, we headed to Apple Works in Trafalger Indiana for a small field trip. Aunt Molli got to join us for the day! The kids enjoyed learning stuff, petting the animals, feeding the animals, the playset, looking at the pumpkins, and of course eating apples! It was such a great day!

Soccer games begin...

Saturday was opening day for Soccer! The kids have been so excited about their first game, and that grandma and grandpa Swartzentruber was coming to watch them :) Jesse and I are coaching both Division 4 (Austin) and Division 1 (Hailee). This has been keeping us busy especially on Thursday nights and on Saturday's with practices back to back and games back to back. We really enjoy it though!

Hailee Brooke, she had so much fun running and chasing the ball across the field. She did a great job at playing.

Here is Austin and his team! We lost our first game 5-4, but we played a great game. Austin led the team with 3 goals!! I love coaching this age and watching them work together as a team. They set up plays, pass the ball, cheer each other on, ect. I have a wonderful team in both Divisions!!

Take shape for life

Okay I just want to share a little something.... I have a client who has signed up for take shape for life. This client had to go get blood work done, and the results came back.... The doctor said that this clients blood sugars and cholesterol levels are looking better and whatever this client is doing to keep it up. Not only that but the scales had dropped too. YAY!! I love seeing people get healthy, and seeing the products work make me feel GREAT!

a new journey in life

Starting a new journey in life is a little scary, but also very exciting :) Many of you know that I have been trying to loose weight and get healthy. I want you all to know that I worked hard and I have reached my goal weight and I am maintaining it!! I lost 55 lbs in about 4 1/2 months and now I have been maintaining my weight for a little over a month.

The transition is amazing! I am happy to say that this has really inspired me. I want to be someone that can help others and show them they can get the weight off and keep it off. Mexican Food, and Putt Putt Golf

My mom and Dad, Clayton, Lexie, and Lily joined us for supper at the Mexican Resturant. We thought we would celebrate Clayton's birthday since it was Saturday. I think Lexie got a little embarrased when Clayton had to wear this hat, ha ha.
After supper we went for some putt putt golf. It was a little hot but everyone had fun.

Even little Miss Lily enjoyed her family time. This was her hanging out in her stroller :)

After putt putt we departed and Jesse and I took the kids to scoop for ice cream. Then back to room where everyone was more then ready for bed.

Our next stop was to Uncle Clayton's and Lexie's house. The kids wanted to meet their sweet cousin LILY! Well Bodie fell asleep before we got there.

But Austin and Hailee had fun loving on her... they enjoyed holding her and watching all her little movements.

After leaving Clayton's we checked in at our hotel Baymont in Washington. Clayton and his family joined us for some swimming and hot tub time :)

Sunday morning we head to Daviess County... 1st stop was Bill and Cindy's to visit. We enjoyed lunch before heading to the pond. Here are a few pictures of what we had fun doing...

Hailee asked her daddy to take off her training wheels on the bike. She practiced for about a week, and was determined to ride with no training wheels. And now she if offically riding:)

4th of July

Hope you all had a GREAT 4th of July weekend!! I know we did. Saturday and Sunday consisted of swimming and grilling out at home! Monday the 4th we hung out at home, then my parents came up to enjoy the fireworks with us. We headed to the park at about 8pm for Fireworks~ they have live music there and food stands that start at 6 and play til 10. So we got to enjoy some of that before fireworks!!

The fireworks were really good! All the kids loved them, but were so tired cause it was way past our bedtimes. By the time we got home and got everyone to bed it was 11:45!! Way to late!

Lily Arabella Wise

It was a long day Friday, as everyone awaited the arrival of Lily Arabella Wise, but it was definetaly worth the wait. At 8:26 pm Clayton and Lexie finally got to meet their precious little girl, Lily Arabella. Lily weighed 6lbs 12 ounces and was 20 inches long.
I have to tell you that I could of sat there all night and just watched my brother's face. Clayton's whole life has changed, because he is a daddy now! His face was glowing, and the smile on his face was priceless. I always knew Clayton would be a good daddy, and now he is showing us. Lily is so sweet, and has her daddy wrapped around her finger.
Lexie did an amazing job! I know she will be a good mommy to Lily. I wish that you could of seen their faces as they were holding their precious little girl. Congrats Clayton and Lexie~ we love you both, and we love Lily!!

Morgan County Fair is at the end of July, my kids have only been one time... Anyways, so I was thinking about putting Bodie Kale in the baby show this year. I have to register by July 10th, and send in a wallet snap shot photo. I tried to get a good one tonight, and this is what I got... Seriously the last picture cracks me up... That is his mean face and I get it alot :) He has quiet a personality!

Blizzards ~ Anyone?

Hailee got this DQ Blizzard Maker for Chrristmas, and we just now are trying it out... So we got all the ingrediants in and turned the knob...

turned it for 10 minutes....

It made two small blizzards in 10 minutes. She loved it though. Of course the neighbor boys were over so we had to make another batch for them to share. :)

Our weekend

What a great weekend we have had! Saturday we got a visit from Bill and Cindy (Jesse's parents). They came up to visit, and we went to eat lunch. The kids love when mamaw and papaw come over!! Other than that we have just been hanging out at home, playing outside. The pictures will tell you what the kids have been busy doing....

Father's Day

Jesse is such an Amazing dad to our three kids. Ask them, they will tell you their dad is the BEST!! :)

Father's Day was Sunday so we started out with making him breakfast in bed!! It consisted of bacon, eggs, toast, and sweet tea to drink... And the kids had fun taking it to him and waking him up.
Then he got to open a little gift that we got him! (We usually don't do gifts, but he needed what we got him since I lost his other ones... ) The kids watched him open his card, and his new Nike Sandals!
Later that day after lunch, we watched DADDY DAYCARE. Then spent the afternoon outside cleaning the mini barn. That was a project itself!!
For supper we grilled steaks, and had this yummy cake that we made for Father's Day!

Rainy Saturday

How did you spend your Saturday? Well it was rainy here, so in the AM hours we just laid around and relaxed a little bit.

When it finally stopped raining, I took the kids out to play while Jesse drug everything out of the mini barn. He is determined to get rid of junk and get it organized with our pool stuff, but in the middle of it all he got called to work... So now everything is sitting in our back yard..

The kids and I are getting ready to make supper now, so we are onto our next adventure! Hope your all having a great weekend!

A big deal!!

Something BIG is happening at our house this week... okay well big for Jesse and I. Starting Sunday night we decided it was time for the kids to sleep in their own beds. So Hailee has been in her own room and her own bed since Sunday night! Bodie has slept in his toddler bed in our room since then also.... We are super proud of them, and told them if they keep it up then they will get a small treat :) This is a BIG DEAL!!

Yay, to finally getting a good nights rest without getting kicked a million times, or pushed off the bed. ha ha. It is also so sweet to go into the rooms and see them all snuggled up, sound asleep in their beds. I just love all three of my kids :)

Weekend

Last weekend, Bill and Cindy wanted the kids for the weekend~so we took them up on that offer! Friday, we met Cindy in Spencer to drop the kids off (yes all three of them). They were excited to go and get to spend the weekend with mamaw, papaw, and the cousins Hayden and Colin.
After leaving Spencer, Jesse and I headed to Bloomington for a little date night. We ate at Olive Garden, then went to the movies to watch BRIDESMAIDS. We laughed hard at that movie...
Saturday we went back to Bloomington for a little bit of shopping (needed some clothes, and a trip to Sam's Club) then did a late lunch at Outback before heading home. When we got home we tried to catch up on stuff around the house. Then we got in the pool. It was def. quiet around here, and I did miss my kids. Cindy made sure she texted lots of pictures of all the fun stuff the kids did like tractor rides, fishing, and swimming in the pond!
Sunday morning, Jesse and I got up and headed to Odon to get the kids then to help celebrate Dakota's 8th birthday!!

On our way home the kids slept the whole ride! They were so worn out. This week they have been playing like CRAZY!!

Those of you that are close to me, know that I have been changing my eating habits and trying to get healthy. Going on 5 months now, I have cut out all sweets and eating lean meats and lots of fresh vegtibles. I have been following the Medifast plan. I am not going to lie~ It hasn't always been easy but the feeling is so worth it. I have changed in looks, I have so much more energy, and it helps when your kids and husband tell you how beautiful you look and how proud of you they are... I have lots of support!! I am determined to loose the weight and be healthy :) I reached my goal weight, but set a new goal and I am 6 lbs away from it. Just wanted to share some after and before pictures with you :)

Austin had his last soccer game last night. He absolutely loves soccer, and is really a GREAT soccer player! Here is a picture of him with his trophy.

30 / Pool time

Okay so on the 29th of May, I turned the BIG 3-0.... I don't really feel any different so I guess that is a good thing:) Jesse had worked so hard all week, and he worked on Saturday so on my birthday all I wanted was some family time :) We stayed home all day, and it was so nice. Jesse and the kids baked me a nice birthday cake all by theirselves, and it was YUMMY! I enjoyed one small piece;) Then later we set the pool up so it could fill up, which the kids couldn't hardly wait on.... And when the kids were in bed, we watched a movie together. It was a GREAT day!!

We are on summer break with our homeschooling :) We will start back probably in July but we are taking a good month off to enjoy this warm weather!! And here is what our summer will consist of.....

We have been swimming like crazy! The kids just can't get enough of the water. I told them we probably wont swim today because we all are a little sunburned and they are a little mad... As soon as they wake up they want to go outside and play so we are always on the go, but I love it... And let me tell you, they have been going to bed early and sleeping good because they are so wore out :) Hope you are all enjoying your summer break!!

Storms...

With all these storms coming through, Jesse has been putting in long hours. Not sure how any of them guys do it, but they keep going to get everyone's power restored! They get sleep time, but by the time they get to bed its not alot of sleep and I am sure they are exhausted. Please keep all the families who had storm damage, lost their holmes, and all the workers and volunteers in your thoughts and prayers.

With Jesse being gone, its been just the kids and me. It's really kind of been a long week for us especially with all the rain. We are so ready for some sunshine so we can get outside and play. The kids have played with the neighbor kids (which is super nice that they have neighbors that can come play).

1st Trip to the Dentist

On Tuesday, I had to take all three kids to the dentist. Austin and Hailee had cleanings, but this was Bodie's 1st trip to the dentist. Here is a picture before we went into the office....

I was so thankful that Cindy met us at the dentist office in Bloomington. I didn't really know what to expect cause this was Hailee's first time going back by herself. Hailee already told me there was no way she was going by herself, but she suprised us and went back! And she did a great job. She has to go back though cause she has a cavity :(
Bodie was a wild man!! When he went back, he wanted to play in the room. He isn't one that likes to be held down, he doesn't like to open his mouth, and he doesn't want you to brush his teeth. He likes to carry a tooth brush and do it by himself, but doesn't want anyone else to do it. I struggle to get his teeth brushed good twice a day... So the dentist showed me several different ways to get into his mouth. I was really bummed though to find out he has a cavity. He has to go back in July to get it fixed, so that scares me cause they have to use a sleep blanket to hold him down... I know it needs to be fixed but this has me upset.

After the dentist, we enjoyed lunch at the Olive Garden:) This was Cindy's 1st time to eat there. My kids love the salad and breadsticks!! Here we are waiting on our food :)

And Bodie was bored of waiting so he pulled everything out of my purse.

We took some left over breadsticks home to Jesse so that he could enjoy them :)

On Saturday we also stopped to visit with Jesse's parents. The kids wanted to see the two new puppies, and the new pony! Oh and Bodie enjoyed TRACTOR RIDES with Papaw...

Of course the kids didn't want to leave... they hardly ever do. So mamaw said they could spent the night along with the Brown kids... EVEN BODIE! I have never left Bodie and they have asked several times so this time I said he could stay... So they stayed with the grandparents and cousins. They fished and had all kinds of fun :)

Jesse and I left and on our way home we stopped at SAMS CLUB, then he took me out to eat at the Olive Garden, yum! It was nice to enjoy the evening with my handsome husband. Thanks Bill and Cindy for letting us have some time to ourselves:)

After Austin's soccer game on Saturday (which he scored two amazing goals at), we headed to Odon to celebrate Bentley turning 1! His party was at the Odon Park so the kids enjoyed playing and getting muddy...

Our Homeschool Project for group this week was PLANTING HERBS! Each child got a flower pot and got to plant some seeds. They also got to make a tag to show what they planted. A fun project!!

We finally got to play a soccer game on Saturday, and Austin was ready! He absolutely loves soccer and even talks about one day when he is a PRO soccer player :) He is really good, so I hope that he continues to stick with it.

Checkup

Today Bodie had his 18 month Checkup at the doctor's office. The kids weren't very excited about going cause they dread the whole Bodie getting a shot thing... However here's his update!

Bodie now weighs 26 lbs, and is 31.25 inches tall. Everytime we go I have to do a survey thing to tell if he is staying on top of things with his age, and so today when I did it and they reviewed it they said he checks out at 27 months! We have a smart little guy:)

*Lately Bodie likes to say NO, all the time to everything you ask him... The kids think it is funny so they ask him questions all the time just so they can hear him say NO.
*His appetite has really picked up! He loves to eat. When I say it is time to eat, he comes running to the table. And he is all about doing everything himself. He uses a fork and spoon by himself but sometimes he will use his hands... Yeah he uses his hands with Mashed Potatoes (his favorite) and so we go straight from table to bath...
*He is a climber... He climbs on everything. He has learned how to pull out drawers to climb. SCARY!!
*He is always on the go... Running everywhere, and keeping us running..
*He is ALL BOY!! Loves tools, dirt, sand, and cars...

I took the kids to Walmart, and let them pick out something from Jesse and I for being good and doing their chores for the month. Of course Austin goes for the video games, Hailee goes for the baby dolls, and Bodie went for this....

Homeschool Group

On Thursday, our homeschool group had an Easter egg hunt at the Jimmy Nash Park. So Hailee and I made some yummy cupcakes to take and share...

She loves to help cook!! And she loves to wear her little apron :)
Since we just had egg hunts over the weekend~ Bodie has became a PRO Easter Egg Hunter (occasionally he has to stop, take a break and see what is in his egg and if it is a Hershey Kiss then he eats it).

All the kids had fun hunting eggs, eating candy and treats!! Such a great time with a great group of homeschoolers:)

On Sunday we had Easter at my parents! We started out with a family lunch, then a big Easter Egg Hunt with lots of prizes, dessert, and just some family time:) The kids had a blast running, and playing.

Swartzentruber Easter

Friday~ I had our car loaded and when Jesse got off work, we headed to Washington. We took the kids and stayed at the Baymont INN so that they could swim, since we were going to be in Washington on Saturday for family pictures. They had lots of fun swimming, and being in the hot tub!! Of course Bodie was a wild man... Saturday~ We woke up and got ready for family pictures with the amazing SANDY CLARKE PHOTOGRAPHY in Washington. Seriously she does an amazing job!! Look her up on facebook, or go to her website www.sandyclarkephotography.com . I highly recommend her! After pictures we headed to Swartzentruber Easter! The kids were super excited cause their cousin told them Papaw had a suprise for them....

Hailee and Austin tried to get him to tell them the suprise early, but no they had to wait til we ate and did the egg hunt.. :) And we had cake to celebrate birthdays too! Bodie liked it!

Our weekend weather didn't start out so great... STORMS on Saturday morning which caused them to cancel Austin's first soccer game... He was bummed! However my parents came up and they went to Petsmart where he got Alex. So that made his day! We didn't to to much the rest of the weekend other then enjoy the beautiful weather on Sunday. Austin had a friend over so we played outside.

Meet ALEX our newest addition... Austin bought this leopard gecko from the pet store and named him ALEX. He has been working with him everyday and can hold him. I am not crazy about these, but I refuse to get another inside dog... So now we have ALEX!

On Thursday, we met my sister Molli in Greenwood to spend a couple hours with her. The kids wanted to eat at Chuck E Cheese... not my choice but I let them choose...

They had fun playing games, dancing to earn free tickets, and getting their prizes. After we got done there we headed to khols. I had to finalize our outfits for family pictures. I dread this part of the picture! I have finally gotten everyone coordinating outfits for next weekend.

Then we went to the PET STORE, again not my choice~but I have some animal lovers (especially Austin).

It was nice spending the day with Molli and the kids.

Later that evening~ Austin had his first soccer practice! It went pretty good~but I am realizing that it is hard after coaching so many years/seasons to sit on the sideline... I will def. be coaching in the FALL.

And I thought I would share this photo with you. He don't sleep in this bed at night (he thinks he needs to be with mommy and daddy in their bed... ), but he loves to lay in it and watch cartoons. He is rotten!!

Nice Weekend

Did everyone have a good weekend? I know we did! We started out Saturday early with our trip to Odon. Jesse's cousin (Kristen Smith) had her wedding shower so we met up with April and Cindy to attend it. It was beautiful!! While we were all at the shower, Grandpa Bill was incharge of all the grandkids. They had fun looking at ponies, and playing! After the shower we spent time with Jesse's parents and sister and kids. Our kids can't get enough of each other, they love playing together.

The second part of the day was spent at my parents. We got to visit with Crystal and her kids, my parents, and Clayton and his girlfriend Lexie. It was nice to get to visit. The kids enjoyed playing, and of course riding on the GOLF CART. Austin is the driver and they all pile on, ha ha.

U of I visit

On Tuesday the kids and I went with my parents to visit Molli at college, University of Indianapolis. The kids thought it was so neat to get to see where Molli lived, and around the campus. Austin thinks he might go to school there, maybe but as long as he can play soccer (ha ha).

Then we decided to do a late lunch at Joe's Crab Shack since it wasn't to far. I love Joe's Crab Shack!! Of course I am eating healthy so it was a little hard to watch them eat their yummy fried shrimp, oysters, and all that good stuff. I was good though and stuck to the grilled shrimp with steamed veggies! Really it was good too :)

On Saturday, Jesse's parents came to babysit so that we could do a date day! We are so thankful for them coming to babysit:) So while the kids had a blast with the grandparents, Jesse and I headed to Bloomington. We had such a great day with lunch at Olive Garden, then a movie (Hall Pass), and then to the mall for some shopping. When we got home we celebrated Jesse's birthday with Bill and Cindy. Had some cake that they all picked out, and then the kids played.

On Saturday~ the kids enjoyed a visit from my parents. They stopped on their way home from cheering on the ND cougars at Semi State.

They played an intense game of JENGA. Hailee loves this game, but doesn't like to loose...

Usually everyone gets mad at Bodie cause he likes to climb on the table and knock it over...

When they left Austin decided he wanted to go spend the night so he enjoyed the night there.

Sunday~ Bill and Cindy came up for a visit. We enjoyed a trip to Ponderosa in Mooresville, then back home for some play time with Hailee and Bodie. The kids had fun playing!! Of course they never want mamaw and papaw to leave, but I think Bodie would of def. went with them at least until night time :)

Austin got home this evening so we are enjoying some family game time (xbox) and tv. Trying to get ready for our Monday full of school, household chores, and daddy back to work...

New Camera

On Friday, our homeschool group took a tour of Not Just Popcorn in Edinburg, IN. We had so much fun and learned so much about this company. Seriously it was so neat. We learned that they make 315 flavors of popcorn. Some they are famous for are Chicago Cheddar, Dill Pickle, and Caramel. We got to watch how they make it, how they package it, and even have a taste test!

Our little boy is really growing up.... TOO FAST! Some things that have led me to realizing this is...
1. Bodie now gets his own happy meal at McD's. He eats his own Cheeseburger(really he is so cute holding his cheeseburger). What happened to giving little bites of food?

2. So the last couple days, he has wanted to sit on the big potty. Usually it is after Hailee gets done peeing, but he insist on taking his diaper off and sitting on the potty. So I have let him and he has peed in the potty twice, and has grunted several times:) Bodie is 16 months old and so smart! We will just wait and see what this leads to, but I am SO PROUD OF HIM!! This was a big deal at our house and he was full of smiles and claps for himself! GO BODIE KALE!!

Nice Weather

We really took time to enjoy the nice weather we had for a couple days. It was so good to get out and get some fresh air, and let the kids run off some of their energy. We did lots of things like walking, wagon rides, bike rides, skateboarding, swinging, football and of course soccer!!

Valentine's Day Party

Hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day! We celebrated with our homeschool group on Friday by having a Valentine Party. The kids had fun decorating their valentine sacks, creating their Valentines to pass out, and coming up with a craft to share with our group. There was several kids that came to our homeschool group party so it was super fun. We played several games, did a tissue flower craft, passed out valentine cards, and had some yummy food. Here are a couple pictures.

Jesse and I don't do the whole Valentine gift thing, but we did make sure to get the kids some DOVE chocolate's (their favorites) and some ring pops! We spent our Valentine's Day at home with a nice grilled steak dinner, and an evening of Monday night TV. To me that is a perfect night!!

If you get a chance please say a prayer for my dad. He is scheduled for surgery today to have an assist removed from his back. It is on the spine and has been causing lots of pain. This should be a same day surgery, so pray things go good and he will be released to go home today. I know that God will watch over him:)

Crazy Weather

This weather lately has been super crazy... As I look outside right now, we have icicles hanging from our porch. They say we will be getting round 2 later today. To be honest, I am ready for the WARM weather to come. However right now, I have to prepare for this yucky round two to come through. The kids have lanterns and blankets ready, we are stocked up on MILK and chocolate syrup (a necessity at our house), I have flashlights, candles, and kerosene heater on standby. We are saying a extra prayer for daddy and all the people that have to work out in this ice and snow. Please keep them safe!!

Group Meeting

Today we had homeschool group at the library. The kids were glad to get out of the house and visit with the kids at group. Here they are waiting on others to arrive.

Bodie had to take this rubber lizard. He is amazed by Austin's pet "Sammy" so he thinks it is neat that he can carry this one around.

After months and months of Austin driving me crazy about wanting a lizard... We finally caved in... Personally I don't like lizards at all, but Austin is defintely an animal lover and this is what he wanted... So meet Sammy the lizard (pictures aren't that great). This is Austin's new responsiblity!

I told Austin the cage lid is to stay on, cause I don't want this lizard running free in my house. YUCK! Hailee thinks it is neat to watch, and Bodie says EEWW! Ha ha!

15 Month Checkup

Yesterday morning we had an appointment in Bloomington with Bodie's dr for a checkup. My little guy now weighs in at 25.4 lbs. She said we have a very smart little fellow!! Of course we already knew that he is SMART!

At 15 months some of the things Bodie does:
~loves chasing his brother and sister around! He thinks he can do anything that they can.
~loves saying READY, SET, GO and takes off running. (Hailee taught him this and he does it all the time)
~loves to help do chores (climbs in laundry machine, climbs in dishwasher) ha ha
~loves table food, now if we could just get him to drink milk out of a sippy cup that would be great!! (Any idea's?)
~loves books, but while I am reading he is flipping the pages
~loves to dance (he is always dancing if he hears a beat)
~ says things like EEWW when he thinks something is gross
~loves to cuddle with mommy! but wants to be by daddy's side all the time to!

What a personality this little boy has. He always has us laughing at things he does. Usually always smiling, and can put a smile on anyones face. We sure do love him!!

Our weekend

Friday~ Jesse and I loaded the kids up for some fun time in Bloomington. First stop was Cheeseburger in Paradise, YUM!! We always like to go there for the good food~ deep fried pickles!! Then we headed to the mall. Hailee wanted to do build a bear so we went there. We have so many build a bears, but what is one more:) Then we looked around and done some shopping at Target. On our way home we stopped at the Redbox for a couple movies.

Saturday~ Bill and Cindy came up to babysit while Jesse and I had a date day! I love my kiddos so much, but I needed a couple hours with my husband kid free. Jesse and I went to Greenwood for the day. We ate at Joes Crab Shack, then went to the movies, and then to the mall. It was nice to get away and spend time with Jesse! We need to do it a little more.

Sunday~ Our lazy day! We layed around playing xbox, wii, and board games.

What have my kids been busy doing? Well, Austin has been playing xbox 360! He loves it, and drives me crazy sometimes cause I have to fight for the tv.

Hailee is doing her "I am so Awesome" dance! She is so silly at times.

And Bodie has been busy playing babies with his sissy. He loves to play with her but she sometimes kicks him out of her room...

I can't believe that 5 years ago, Jesse and I welcomed our daughter into this world! We were truely blessed with a healthy, beautiful princess. Happy 5th Birthday Hailee Brooke!! We are so proud of you and love you very much!!

On Saturday, Bill and Cindy came up to bring Hailee her birthday presents! They also brought her a barbie/princess cake... She was excited. Her request was for pink icing so they did good!!

11 years ago today, I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. Over the past 11 years I have watched him grow into a handsome young man!! We are so proud of the young man that you have grown to be Austin. We love you!!

Christmas Morning, look at what all Santa brought us!!

Austin, Hailee and Bodie were full of excitment on Christmas morning when they saw that Santa had been and left them lots of goodies!! Austin loves his xbox 360 kinect, Hailee loves her Big Barbie house, and Bodie Kale loves all his toys (I think he likes Austin and Hailee's more though).
