Box Tops

We are still collecting box tops for our homeschool group. If you don't collect them then please do cause we could use them to help fund our field trips and other group events. If anyone has any that they want to pass on to me then send me an email at sarahswartzentruber@yahoo.com so I can send you my address. Thanks a bunch!! Also Thank You to all the people that have been saving them for me. It really helps!

Tissue Art/Sock Puppets

Friday: On Friday the kids and I added an art project to our schooling and we wanted to share a few pictures with you. We had fun doing some Tissue Art. Here are some pictures...

Hailee made a beautiful butterfly! She had so much fun doing it and did it all by herself. Great job Brooktini!
Austin did a fabulous bird. He did amazing and worked so hard on it. Austin~ you did a GREAT Job!!

Thought I would add a picture of Bodie looking so sweet while he is sleeping.
Sunday: The kids got up and did all their household chores. It was super nice of them to help out and us to get everything done! We did our dreaded WalMart trip, only to get home and realize I forgot some stuff but oh well. I only go to WalMart every two weeks and I d0n't even like to go then. After supper the kids, Jesse, and I played a few board games then did sock puppets. Here is a peek at what they look like.

Hailee with her sock puppet! She really gets into puppets and has a big imagination!!

Austin made a dinosaur sock puppet! Turned out good!

Chinese New Year

On Tuesday we met with our homeschool group, and our topic was "Chinese New Year." The kids had so much fun going around to the different stations and learning things about this event. They made lanterns, red envelopes with their coins, learned to write like the Chinese, learned how to use chop sticks, and so much more. I feel so blessed to have met such a great group of homeschool mothers and children. I also feel blessed that we started up this group and it continues to grow!! Here are some pictures of my kids at the group.

Incredible Pizza

What a great weekend we had. On Saturday, Bill and Cindy came to our house for a visit. We all piled in their car and headed to Greenwood for some fun time. This was our first trip to Incredible Pizza in Greenwood, and I have to say WE ALL HAD FUN! There was so much to do that the kids really didn't know where to start. We ate buffet (which was so much to choose from), then headed to the game area. Bill, Jesse, Austin and Hailee had fun in the Go Kart Mini Racing. There was also Bumper Cars, Mini Golf, Mini Bowling, lots of arcade games, and then the prize world where you cash in your tickets. We will definately be going back sometime.
After leaving there we made a pit stop before heading home at Culvers. Culvers is frozen custard and is oh so good. I love their BANANA FOSTERS. YUM!! Jesse likes the Carmel Cashew. Austin just likes Vanilla in a reg. cone, and Hailee enjoyed a Chocolate shake!! So good! When we got back to our house the kids played with the grandparents before they headed back home.

Later that evening we watched Motorcross on TV because Uncle Kevin, Auntie April, Hayden and Colin were there. So we had to watch incase we could see them on tv, ha ha. Hailee didn't really understand that they were just there watching and she kept saying, "Mom, I really hope Hayden wins." So I had to keep explaining that Hayden is just in the crowd. To cute!

Today, Sunday, was a day to relax. We did alot of that to. We all lounged around on the couches watching TV. Just a great Sunday with the kids and Jesse. Hope you all had a great weekend.

Can I?

Hailee enjoys helping me bake, especially deserts with chocolate! And she always ask, "Can I lick the bowl or spoon?" Usually it is a fight between her and Austin on who gets the bowl, however he isn't big on the baking. I told her tonight that I need to get her a little apron to wear in the kitchen cause she is a BIG helper!!

Mmmmm....

Look who loves food!! Especially all the yummy fruits and sweet potatoes:) Bodie also enjoys drinking diluted juice from a sippy cup.

We usually have the food everywhere, but he loves it! And sometimes we hear Mmmmm.

Is there anything more precious

Is there anything more precious than the smiles of a 4 1/2 month old little boy when his daddy enters the room from a long day of work? I think not.. Bodie loves his daddy so much! When Jesse walks through the door, Bodie is almost always smiling, laughing, and has his feet a kicking. This is unless he is eating or sleeping of course. He is always ready for his daddy to play with him or get close to him so he can give him one of his big slobbery kisses. This really melts my heart! I love it!!

Look at.....

Look at how BIG Bodie is getting. They sure don't stay little for long. Our precious little guy is growing up so fast.

Look at all that SNOW!! The kids loved looking at the snow, but wasn't allowed to play in it due to coughing. Jesse measured it and we had 6 1/2 inches and it was still snowing. I think by the time it was all done we probably had 7 1/2 inches.... I am thankful that I didn't have to get out in it and go anywhere. :)

Prayers

I am asking for a few prayers. There are alot of things going on right now with my family so I would love if you have time to say a prayer, please include us. I will write more of what I am talking about at a later time.
God Bless You All
Love,
Sarah

Want to wish my Grandma Dorothy Hollis a very Happy Birthday! We are sending hugs and kisses your way!!

We had a great day today. I got to spend my Valentines Day with the ones I love, nothing is better than that. We didn't do a whole lot today other than enjoy each other's company. Jesse did a science experment with the kids. They really enjoyed that. We also took the kids to shoe show to get them new shoes. Hailee was super excited because she is a "Shoe Queen." This was part of their Valentines:)

Hope you all had a great weekend and a nice Valentines Day!!

Valentine Weekend

Today I have gotten alot accomplished with the help of my wonderful husband and kids. Austin and Hailee were big helpers today and willing to CLEAN!! They dusted, washed the mirrors, vaccumed, and did so much more to help out. I spent the morning trying to clean and catch up on laundry (of course I had to take some breaks to play the Wii with the kids, and cuddle up with Bodie Kale).
This afternoon the kids and I baked some sugar cookies. YUMMO!! After they cooled off the kids decorated them with cookie icing. Our theme... VALENTINES DAY! They decorated with red and white icing and there was lots of hearts.

The yummy cookies that were decorated!

Bodie loved sitting in his chair watching them decorate. I think he was wishing someone would of slipped some of that yummy icing in his mouth. Ha ha.
It has been such a great day around the house with the people I love! A nice way to enjoy a weekend:)
And I wanted to share this next picture. I found Daddy and Bodie sleeping on the couch and it was to cute not to share.

Enjoying the Snow

I feel like I haven't blogged for awhile so here is some to catch us up... All three of the kids got the sickness that is going around. You know the one with the vomitting. Oh yeah, not fun at all. Jesse and I worked hard on cleaning, and disinfecting. I am hoping that it is over and gone.

Last week Cindy came up and went to Bloomington with me and the kids for Bodie's 4 month appt. He has grown. Bodie now weighs 17.9 lbs :) He is a big boy!! They said he looked great.

We got some snow on Friday. The kids were excited! So on Saturday my brother Clayton came up for a visit. Here is what they did...

Clayton
The start of the project

Hailee and Daddy working hard

The kids gave up so it was up to Clayton and Jesse to finish it... And they did

Our Snowman!!
They built a snowman! The kids are proud of it even if Clayton and Jesse did most of the work. We had to use our imagination on the face. Donut's for eyes, fruit roll up for mouth, ect.
Anyways they all had a great time and Bodie and I enjoyed watching them from the front door.
Today is SuperBowl so everyone is dressed in Blue!!

Is it over yet?

Is it over yet? That is the question I have been asking after the weekend that we have had. UGH... On Saturday, Hailee Brooke woke up vomitting. Poor little thing. She laid on the couch all day and didn't really move. She sipped on some gaterade but that was the only thing we could get down her.
On Sunday morning it was the same thing, however by noon she was up moving and smiling. She still wasn't eating to much but we did keep the liquids going.
Today, well she is feeling lots better and back to herself. We are hoping that it is over. Jesse was a lifesaver!! He was here cleaning, doing laundry, and helping me with Hailee. I have to say I have a GREAT husband!

Our house smells like a can of lysol... I sprayed alot! I have wiped everything a million times cause I want those sick germs out of here. Hopefully we can enjoy this week!
