Jaxcen Addai

Today, the kids and I headed to the hospital so we could meet the new little guy. We swung by Goody's to pick up a few outfits (premie) for him as a gift. Austin and Hailee helped pick out all the cute little outfits and if it was up to them we would of left with lots of clothes. ha ha. The kids were so excited when we got to the hospital and they got to meet thier new cousin. Here is a picture of Jaxcen!

He is already so spoiled. He was so content next to Crystal in her arms, and when someone would take him to hold him then he would whine. Oh and his cry was so funny, like the world was coming to an end. He loves his momma.
Here is a pic of the kids and I with baby Jaxcen.
Cute as a button! Stylin in his new outfit that Uncle Jesse, Auntie Sarah, and cousins Austin and Hailee brought him.
He was born on Austin's birthday so I had to get a pic of the Birthday boys. At first Austin wasn't happy about sharing his bday but now I think he is okay with it. He held Jaxcen a bunch of times while we were visiting and didn't want to give him to anyone else. He wants a baby brother really bad.
Hailee couldn't get enough of him either. She was always looking at him and wanting to touch him. She said, "Mom lets go to that room (nursery) and pick out a baby sister to take home." Wow Don't we wish it was that simple.
Uncle Jesse has only seen pics of Jaxcen cause he is on call this week and can't leave Martinsville. He is hoping he will get to hold the little guy soon. We all have baby fever.
Crystal and the baby are doing good. Trinidy and Zaden love thier brother. Trinidy is so funny she calls him Jaxcen Addiet. lol. She can't pronounce his name properly. To Cute!!

Baby Jaxcen Addai Long

Crystal (my sister) had her baby today on Austin's birthday. She delievered a baby boy today named Jaxcen Addai Long. Jaxcen weighs 5 lbs 14 ounces. They are both doing great:) They are at the Bloomington hospital just incase anyone would like to call and congrats her.

Trinidy and Zaden are so excited to have a little brother:) This pic is from a phone so I will post some more soon hopefully!

Happy 9th Birthday Austin!!

Happy 9th Birthday Austin Michael!!
Here is a pic of Austin when he was 2 weeks old.

It is hard to believe that nine years ago I was in the hospital giving birth to a precious little boy. I was so scared of becoming a mom at a young age, but I had alot of support and help from my family. I will never forget being in labor pushing forever then Dr. Cullen telling me I had to have a Csection. Tears were flowing because I didn't want to be cut open and have that scar but if that is what had to be done for my baby then do it. In the surgery room when Austin arrived, I remember my mom being on the floor almost passing out. Yeah I have a picture because Dr. Cullen grabbed my camera and got a picture of grannie on the floor. lol. Let me mention she has 5 kids of her own but decides she might pass out when I am having one.

Austin Michael was what I named him, and he was perfect. I was so proud of him, and still is! Austin asked me the other day, "Why is my name Austin Michael?" I explained to him that I loved the name Austin and Michael was after his dad. He said well I am telling everyone that I was named after two famous wrestlers. I asked who so he replied Austin- after Stone Cold Steve Austin and Michael - after Shawn Michaels. LOL. I said well if that is what you want then go for it. I have watched Austin turned into a young man. He is such a wonderful little man with one big heart. He has been through alot and we have faced challanges together and have pulled through them. Raising Austin a few years being a single mom was tough, but I feel that has made me strong and there is a strong bond between us that will never be broken. He seen that he could count on me and Iwant him to always know that he can count on me for anything. When Jesse came into our lives, it was an amazing time. He accepted Austin right away and treated him like his own. Jesse has been a big part in Austin's life and I am so grateful for that. Jesse and Austin really hit it off and have a strong bond also. Austin counts on Jesse for so much and I am so bless'd for that.
So today our boy turns 9. Wow! Happy Birthday Austin:)

Christmas 2008

Our family had a wonderful Christmas this year. We didn't forget the reason for the season either. We made sure that we let Jesus know that it was his Birthday. Such a wonderful time with all of our family.
Our morning started out at 6 AM. Early I know, but we had to because we had to be on the road and traveling to Odon by 930A. Hailee went to the living room and her face was all smiles as she saw all the gifts. She ran to wake her bubby up while yelling, "Bubby Santa Came To See Us." Austin and her both came running back to the Living Room. They opened thier presents up, and loved them all.
Here is Hailee with her new Nintendo DS that she wanted!
Austin with his new Playstation 3:) Jesse was pretty excited about this gift to!
We headed to my mom's for my Grandma Hollis's christmas. There was so much yummy food, and lots of family. Although we missed Aunt Linda and the family. Hope you are there next year. We enjoyed playing Bingo, so much fun. We returned home around 5, and the kids were ready to play with all thier toys. Here is daddy and Hailee playing with her new loving family dollhouse. She absolutely loves this thing.
Austin enjoyed playing some of his new games on the Wii.
Hope you all had a Merry Christmas also. We have a very busy week this week. Both Austin and Hailee have birthdays. Til next time...

Merry Christmas

I just can't believe that it is Christmas Eve night. Where is the SNOW? That kinda makes me sad because I love White Christmas's. Jesse had the day off today so he spent it with the kids and me. We enjoyed playing lots of games, watching Christmas movies, a drive to look at the lights, oh and cleaning. The kids colored pictures to Santa and wrote him a short little letter. They put a few cookies on a plate and left a Mt. Dew ( they figured Santa needed something other than MILK). I am sure Santa will enjoy that, something to keep him awake. The kids are all tucked in bed now and trying so hard to go to sleep. I can't wait to see the smiles on thier faces Christmas morning as they come into the living room and find lots of goodies. Austin explained that he knows the true meaning of Christmas, and as he told me I had tears flowing from my eyes. He always amazes me. He is such a good boy with a big heart. He said, " Mom if I don't get anything for Christmas that would be okay because I know that Christmas isn't about getting toys" I am so glad he knows that and isn't greedy. Hailee is still little to know all about Christmas but she repeats everything her bubby says. LOL. Well I wish you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS. Enjoy the time with your family and remember the True Meaning of Christmas also don't forget to tell Jesus Happy Birthday! Good night to all:)

Visit from Dakota and Coltyn

Sunday we had a visit from the McNabb kids. They came to stay while thier mom and dad went to Greenwood shopping for Christmas. Austin and Hailee had fun playing all thier new toys and showing them to thier cousins.
Austin and Dakota played Wii! They really get into it.
Hailee and Coltyn decided to relax in bed while watching some cartoons. They are to cute.
Dakota ended up spending the night, and will be here til Tuesday. Hailee and her are playing really good together. It is so funny cause I will hear Hailee in there talking to Dakota and it is so cute. Dakota asked Hailee -Where she got her new game from? Hailee replied-"from my grandpa's the hillbilly." She always call's Papaw Bill a HILLBILLY (Jesse's dad). So far the day is going good and no arguing, I am sure that will change. LOL.

Blog Award!

I just found out that I was nominated for the blog award by Ashley from Knepp's Nest! How exciting!! Thanks Ashley! Ashley is friends and went to school with my sister Crystal. I don't know her real well, but feel like I have learned so much about her and her life. She always has interesting post, and wonderful pictures. I love learning about her many adventures to different places with her husband and family.

Here are the rules to receiving this award:

3. You must copy and paste the rules and the instructions below in the post.

Instructions: On your post of receiving this award, make sure you include the person that gave you the award and link it back to them.

I am going to nominate...

1. Abbie- Rise to Find the Sun. She is one of my best friends. She has always been there for me through everything. I love reading her blog and it always touches my heart. She has went through alot of challanges in life, but knows that God is there with her pulling her through. She is so strong, and such a wonderful mommy to Max.

2.April - The Stilwell family. April went to school at ND and was a grade below me. I don't think we talked to much, but now I feel like she is a good friend. Her blogs are always great and she knows how to make you laugh or put a smile on your face. I have learned alot about her through her blog!

3.Bethany-Camden's Corner. Bethany and I cheered together in school, and she is a fabulous person. I love reading her blogs about her little guy and all of his first in life. I feel like I am really in touch with all her happenings and was so excited that her little guy got his first tooth, even though I have never met him. lol. It makes me remember my children's first things in life.

4. Chasity- Matthew's Family. Chasity is my friend Abbie's cousin. I love her blog alot. She really inspires me. A house full of kids, a husband, a soccer mom- she juggles it all. Wow!! I was so excited when she started a blog and I got to read about her and her family. Her children are adorable! She just had a new little guy, that is so exciting. Her blog is about her kids, and I can tell she is a great mom and super proud of them!!

For my 5 addictions or things I like:

1. My husband, Jesse! I love him to death and can never get enough of him. He is such an amazing guy. We have so much fun together, no matter what it is we are doing. He has been there for me through all my battles, and stood right beside me. He loves Austin as his own son, and is always there for him. He is an amazing daddy to Hailee also. I know that I found "the one".

2. My kids-Austin and Hailee! I love them so much. They bring a smile to my face everyday. I love the fact that I get to stay home with them daily. I love watching thier imaginations grow. They are wonderful and make me proud.

3.Family and Friends! They are great and I love surrounding myself with them.

4.Long Baths! I love taking baths. So you know with kids that it is never easy fitting in time to relax in a long hot bath, usually it is a quick shower and a little one is peeping around the corner watching you. I love being in the bath with no kids just a few minutes of alone time.

5. Desserts! I love sweets alot. Usually need a little sweet something after a meal. YUMMY.

Well that is it for now!

Family Christmas

Over the weekend, the kids and I enjoyed spending some Christmas family time in Odon. We went to Jesse's parents on Saturday morning and enjoyed a brunch type meal, which was delicious. The kids got so many new clothes and toys, and they were excited. I think they had more fun just playing with thier cousins. Here is a picture of Austin, Hailee, Hayden and Colin.
Austin enjoyed getting Madden O9 WII game. He has played it alot!
Hailee took her time opening gifts and looked over each one. She loved all the new clothes, and her Wii game. WE Cheer. I think I like it to, brings back memories of when I cheered. LOL.

After we left thier house we went to my mom and dads for Christmas. Mom had made some good hot soup (Chili or Potatoe Soup). It was so nice just visiting with all my family. The kids had fun playing with thier cousins Dakota, Trinidy, Zaden, and Coltyn. Also they got to see thier Uncle Clayton! They both love clinging on him, probably cause he is a kid at heart. They got some nice toys there also. Way to many.
The only thing missing was Jesse, but he was working up north restoring power. He did call and say he was headed home and would be home at 11pm. The kids and I headed back toward Martinsville at 8pm. I am not one that likes to drive in the dark, but I did it. Made sure the doors were locked and off we were. We got home and stayed up unloading the car. Then of course we had to try out all our new toys.
Bill, Cindy, Mom and Dad~ we are so blessed to have you as our families. You are all truely amazing people and we love all 4 of you so much. Thanks for everything you all do, and just being you. We had a great time over the weekend, as we always do when were together. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas.

Happy Birthday Zaden Long

Saturday, December 20th was my nephew Zaden Long's birthday. He turned three and we celebrated with a cake and watched him enjoy his birthday treats. He loves Spiderman and got a few new toys that made his day. Happy Birthday Zaden!!

He is always acting shy toward me, until he warms up then he loves to pick at me. He is so funny!

Ready to go..

Just got done finishing up the homemade noodles (gma hollis recipe) for our Christmas dinner. Oh I can't wait to eat them, but I have to wait til Christmas day. I think I am finally getting the hang of it.
Well my day has been one of those hectic days. It started out with a trip to WalMart... Not the way I like to start my day but I put it off as long as I could. Seriously Austin thought he was starving cause there was no Mt. Dew and no "good chips" or snacks. He is so funny about the stuff he eats and when we go to the store he always tries to sneak two boxes of the same thing in the cart for backup. While at WalMart, I got a phone call from Jesse- he got sent home to pack for a few days due to the ice storm up North. Yeah well our families Christmas's are this weekend. I know it is a part of his job, and I am bless'd he has a good job but I was a little bummed. So I hurried home so I could see him for a few minutes before he left. Hope he has a safe trip and gets all those peoples power restored..
My car is packed up and ready for the weekend. The kids are excited about going, and I am to-just dread the drive to Odon with two kids. That isn't always pleasant trust me. Saturday evening we are going to celebrate Christmas with my mom and dad! Then on Sunday me and the kids are headed to Jesse's parents to do our Christmas there:) Hopefully Jesse will be home Sunday night or Monday, guess we will have to wait and see. Hope you all have a great weekend.

Gearing up for the weekend!

What a crazy, crazy week this has been... Seriously I have ran around the house getting everything in order for this weekend.
Hailee has been about half sick all this week with a runny nose and watery eyes. She has been in one of those cranky moods and doesn't want anyone near her unless she approves. For some reason, Hailee has been very vocal this week. She has learned a word that I don't approve of. The word "Hate." Yeah this week I think she has told everyone she hates them... So she has been in lots of trouble this week.
Here is a picture of her being silly, this was one of the hours that she was in a "good" mood. lol.

Austin has been a big help this week on getting stuff done. He has been good at focusing on his homeschool papers. Austin has been on that loves to pick at Hailee. This week, I think he has done it daily. When it comes down to it though Austin loves Hailee with his heart and has gotten his feelings hurt by her alot this week.
We are going to work on being nice next week, so hopefully they will be in better moods. We leave on Saturday for another trip to Odon. We are celebrating a few Christmas's this week with our families. We will return home Sunday night. I am sure our vehicle will be loaded down with lots of toys for the kids to play with. Guess this means I need to get my butt in gear and do that WALMART trip that I have been putting off.. I really dread that place, but have a few small things to get before Saturday. Hopefully the weather wont be to awful and it will be a pleasant trip.

Sharing Birthdays...

As all of you know, my sister Crystal is pregnant and expecting a little boy. Today they scheduled her a Csection, and she had to call to share the news with me. Oh and the schedule date is December 29th... Yeah Austin's birthday. He is so not happy about it, but I tried to explain that it could be neat. If she does have it that day then both of my children share birthday's with thier cousins. Coltyn McNabb, Lindsey's little boy was born on Hailee's birthday Jan. 3rd.
I am just amazed at how this all happens. To funny! We all have to laugh cause almost all of our kids birthdays are around Christmas. My grandpa said, " They need to start spreading them kids's birthdays out" like this was planned or something.
Enough for now, til next time.

Long Emotional Weekend...

On Friday the car was loaded down and we were off to Odon by 10A. We stopped by my mom's for a visit then headed off to Bill and Cindy's for a few nights. Hailee and Austin played with mamaw and papaw until I think they were about to drop from being so tired. We ordered Amish pizza, YUMMO, for supper. We just lounged around and talked, shedded some tears, did our family prayer circle, then off to bed. The kids had fun...
Saturday~ What a rough day. The viewing of Memaw Eaton. She was so loved by many people and blessed with such a terrific family. I know she was smiling down upon all of us. Austin and Hailee went to the viewing with Jesse and I. Hailee kept asking if she could go and look again, and had different questions. It is hard to explain to a two year old. Austin did good. He to was full of questions. Jesse held on to Austin, Hailee, and I for comfort and we were right by his side. He is truely full of emotions but tries to keep it in. It is so hard on him to loose his memaw. Jesse shared many of his stories and memories with us. After the viewing we headed back to Bill and Cindy's-the kids were just ready to play a few games with thier gparents.
Sunday~ Getting up and getting ready to go to the funeral home, my stomach was in knots. I can only imagine what Jesse was feeling. Austin went to my mom and dads, but Hailee decided she was going with me. She was tired and just didn't really feel well all weekend. It was hard walking in knowing that this is it for awhile til we can meet again in heaven. Tears a flowing as we watched many people go to pay thier respect. It was such a hard day for all the family however we know that Memaw Eaton is in heaven watching over all of us.
Jesse, the kids, and I are back at home in Martinsville now. Trying to get laundry done, and some things caught up on. Jesse has tomorrow off so we will be around the house relaxing from a long emotional weekend. Thanks for all the prayers over the last few months. It has been a hard time for our family, and you have all been so wonderful. THANKS:)

Mixed Emotions

Today has been a really hard day for Jesse and I, along with the family. It is never easy loosing someone. As many know, we miscarriaged a little over a month ago, then today our grandma Eaton passed. It is just been an emotional two months for us. This weekend is going to be a hard one as we say our goodbyes, but we will know that Memaw Marjorie will be in a better place.
It is so important to treasure all the time that you do have with the ones you love. I am so blessed with this amazing family. Jesse, Austin and Hailee are absolutely wonderful and I know that God placed each one in my life for different reasons. I truely see this, and am so thankful to have them. I hope that everyone realizes how blessed they are with thier families.
Jesse, Austin, Hailee and I have started sitting in a circle everynight and saying a prayer together. I also print out these daily devotionals for kids and I just love them. I feel that they really relate to us daily. Austin and Hailee really get into this to and remind us everynight that we need to sit in our circle. I love listening to Hailee and Austin talk to God. They make me so proud, and amaze me at the things they say. This really puts a smile on my face..

Tonight Austin's dad called... Its been a few months so I guess he was due to pop in. He called and wanted to talk to Austin. Austin didn't really want to talk, but I said just talk to him. Austin got on the phone, had a small conversation then handed me the phone. Pretty much all Mike wanted was to know what to get Austin for Christmas.. It is really sad because Mike one day will regret his decisions that he has made. Austin is at the point where he doesn't care if he see's his dad or not and refers to him as Mike. I try to explain it to Mike but I feel like I have done all I can. I can't make him change all I can do is pray for him.
I just feel like there is so much going on right now and just when you think things are going good, then they can turn around in an instant. You just never know, but God will guide you through everything and I have to let him have control. Good night to you all, xoxo

12.11.08 Marjorie Eaton

The phone rang at 4:40 this morning, and as Jesse answered it I could hear Cindy's voice. I knew the news wasn't good. Memaw Marjorie Eaton passed away early this morning. When Jesse got off the phone, he just laid in my arms with tears. As I am trying to comfort him, I am crying also but letting him know that she isn't suffering or in pain. It is so hard to loose someone you love so much, even though you know they are going to join God in heaven.
Please keep the whole family in your thoughts and prayers as we grieve over the loss of such an amazing family member. She will NOT be forgotten!

Visit from Santa

A suprise visit from Santa is what my kids recieved tonight. I think they were both in shock as the sound of bells were ringing as Santa walked through the door. Austin sat right down beside him and listened to everything, but Hailee was a little scared. She would answer the questions he had for her, but wasn't to sure about sitting close to him..
Here is a picture of Santa with gifts for Austin and Hailee!
Of course Hailee would only get close to him if I held her so here we are...
The kids enjoyed opening pj's from Santa and are looking forward to wearing them Christmas Eve. He read them a book about Christmas, which they enjoyed. Then we sent him off with some Choc. Chip cookies that I had made the day before, luckily we had some left!
Here is a picture of Austin and Hailee laying on the bed. They are recovering from a weekend at Mamaw's and papaw's. They had fun, and Jesse and I got some things accomplished for Christmas. However we sure did miss them a bunch and couldn't wait til they were home. I could def. tell the kids missed us lots to.

What will the weekend bring?

Over the night, I ended up getting sick. Seriously I think it was something I ate, like the pizza that I ordered. I knew I shouldn't of ordered it, but I didn't want to cook. So waking up today wasn't the greatest, I felt nausea for the first half of the day. Cindy had came to pick up the kids for the day and to stay the night. They were both super excited about going. I think as soon as she got here they were ready to leave. I know, Makes me feel loved. So I spent the day alone... Didn't really do a whole lot, but I sure do miss my kids. My mom, Crystal and her two kids swung by on her way to the doctor. They didn't stay to long but it was nice seeing them. Then when Jesse got home we ran errands up town, then decided to conquer the closets... This is a job I don't like to do, and can't do when the kids are home. We got rid of alot of stuff-broken toys... We are making room for new ones:) I know what a way to spend your Friday night with your husband. After spending a good few hours in Austin's room, we came to realize he has so much stuff!! At least that is done now though...
My lil sis Molli is here with a friend staying the night so they can get up early and go shopping in Greenwood... While they are doing that, Jesse and I are headed to Edinburgh for some Christmas shopping!! Then when we get done we will be meeting to get the kids. I am so ready to see their precious faces:) Let's see what else the weekend brings...

Difficult Times

"Jesus will keep you strong until the end so that there will be no wrong in you on the day our Lord Jesus Crist comes again." 1Corinthians 1:8

Sitting in a circle on the bed last night-Jesse, Austin, Hailee and I held hands and each said our own little prayer. Tears filled my eyes as we were all praying, yet my heart was full of happiness that we were all doing this together. Usually it is an individual thing that we do or that I do with the kids but we felt we needed so much to do it together last night.
We recieved news about Jesse's Grandma Marjorie Eaton, that she would be released from the hospital today and was going home where they would set up home health/hospice to come in and help take care of her. The doctor also proceeded to tell the family that she wouldn't be with us much longer, he can't look into a crystal ball and tell us for sure-but it didn't look good. Marjorie is a wonderful lady, and has so much love and support from her family. Please keep her and the family in your prayers. This is truely a difficult time for all of us, and it is so hard to prepare for this. Sometimes we think this is not fair, but it is all apart of God's plan and we have to trust in him completely. Please pray to give Marjorie and the family strength, faith, and comfort.

"And after you suffer for a short time, God, who gives all grace, will make everything right. He will make you strong and support you and keep you from falling. He called you to share in his glory in Christ, a glory that will continue forever." 1Peter 5:10

Come On Weekend!!

Not to much exciting going on this week. Austin's school, working with Hailee, and cleaning has been about it. Well I guess our garbage disposal thingy did break, however that wasn't exciting... IT WAS DISGUSTING, and Messy. However Jesse is Mr. Fixit around here so he conquered the problem. As soon as he walks in the door from work, Austin or Hailee is always handing him something to fix:) He always says, "They think I can fix anything!" They look up to him and count on him!
After supper one night I did get some pics of Austin and Hailee. Hailee loves copying Austin so here they are.

Hailee has been big into playing dress up lately. It doesn't matter if it is dress up clothes or just someone elses clothes she will have them on. Here she is as Ms. Hollywood showing us that she is number one. Such a DIVA!

Things have been good. I have a dr. appt tomorrow with the specialist about all my UTI's. I go monthly so nothing new. Just waiting til the day he tells me I have to get the assist removed, kind of scary with the side effects...
I am pretty sure that the kids will be going to Bill and Cindy's on Friday for the weekend. They are excited because they want to see the pony, their cousins, and play with grandma and grandpa. On Saturday Jesse and I are off to Edinburgh to shop for some last minute things. Hopefully there will be some MEGA sales...

Say a Prayer

We got a call last night saying that Jesse's Grandma Eaton is back in the hospital. She has more fluid on her lungs. That is all I know for now, but please say a quick prayer for her and the family.

Snow.. Christmas Lights..and good Hot Chocolate!

We had a really nice weekend and got many projects done, thankfully! However I don't think the weekend was long enough, even though there were some extra days.
Austin and Hailee were so excited to wake up to the snow flurries this morning. They sat and watched it snow for awhile by the door. Hailee kept saying, "Mom! Can I please go outside and build a snowman?" She was so serious, and would get mad when I said there wasn't enough snow. I can't wait til we do get some snow that way they can go out and build a snowman or go sledding or something, they both enjoy that. The day went very well today. Austin and I conquered his school early today which was nice. This gave me a chance to work with Hailee a bit on a few things. They both are super smart:) When Jesse got home today he went out and worked on the rabbit cage, preparing it for the winter months. Wow Ruby and Chomper are getting big! While he was out doing that Hailee helped me make supper. She is so into helping and wants to do everything. I am glad she enjoys helping. Then after supper Jesse, the kids and I loaded up in the truck and drove through the park looking at all the beautiful Christmas lights. The kids absolutely loves all the lights. It was so wonderful to watch thier faces and hear the excitement in thier voices while going through and looking at the different lights. When we returned, we came in and made some Hot Chocolate with extra marshmellows. Delicious!! Even though we didn't do a lot today, I so enjoyed the day. I love being home with Austin and Hailee daily-they are my world!

Also, Jesse's grandma was headed back to the hospital tonight. She has been having more trouble since she got home. If you have time please pray for her and the family. This is Marjorie (Cindy's mom). Thanks bunches... Love to All!
